- To promote awareness of indigenous therapies from the Asia-Pacific region.
- To define and identify the authentic therapies from the various countries.
- Protect the integrity of traditional therapies to prevent devaluation through a process of education and possibly accreditation.
- To advance a collaborative research program to study the influence of the various indigenous practices and to create a group that would recruit information from each of the countries in regard to their unique/individual therapies to provide feedback and input.
- Collaborate with the AP countries and exchange ideas of how these traditional therapies are performed.
- To cultivate strategic dialogue between researchers, scientists, and contemplative scholar/practitioners and philosophers on the other, in order to develop protocols to enhance investigation of indigenous knowledge and traditional therapies.
